Himalayan Everest Insurance Expedites Claim Payments for Properties Damaged in Gen Z Protests

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has announced that it has begun paying compensation for properties damaged during the Gen Z protests on Bhadra 23 and 24. So far, the company has disbursed Rs. 21.74 crore for 245 out of 287 insured claims, covering both advance and final payments. Head of Claims, Rose Raj Luitel, stated that the company is committed to ensuring quick and simple claim settlements within regulatory provisions.

The insurer will resume additional payments from Tuesday, prioritizing financial relief for affected customers. It has urged policyholders with pending claims to contact their nearest branch or the central office to complete necessary documentation. Expressing condolences to those who lost their lives in the protests, the company also extended wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
