CPN Revolutionary Maoist politburo member Dev Gurung said the country will find an immediate outlet if demands raised by the Madhes were truly addressed.
Terming the demands advanced by United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) as reasonable, Gurung claimed the country will find a solution if demands were fulfilled.
Speaking at a press conference held in Kushma Bazaar – headquarters of Parbat – leader Gurung accused the government of showing no considerable interest to address the Front’s demands causing the Tarai agitation and Indian government unofficial blockade to prolong. He urged the government to immediately opt for exploring the way for forging consensus to resolve the crisis.
Gurung was of the opinion that the problems are adding up due to greed on part of the parties in the government and warned of economic depression in the nation if blockade continued.
He said the parties should not waste any more time but seek to resolve the internal problem with joint effort. RSS
