Greenply Nepal Prepares to Issue IPO, 20 Percent Shares For General Public
Greenply Nepal Limited, a plywood manufacturer and exporter, is preparing to issue an initial public offering (IPO) of 16.40 lakh units of ordinary shares, representing 20 percent of its issued capital to the general public.
The company has called a special general meeting on Shrawan 22, 2083, to approve the issuance, having already converted into a public limited company last fiscal year. The company posted annual turnover of around Rs 47.5 crores in FY 2081/82, up 18.96 percent, and has remained profitable for five consecutive years. Its net tangible assets rose from Rs 8.20 crores to Rs 22.60 crores during the year, while its gearing ratio improved from 7.41 times to 2.44 times.
Greenply Nepal sells about 30 percent of its output domestically and exports over 70 percent of its output, mainly to India and other international markets. It manufactures plywood, blockboard and flush doors through modern technology, skilled management, quality assurance and a strong distribution network.
It is registered in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-5, Morang, under Chairman Jeevan Prasad Rijal. Key investors include Diwakar Rathi, Dagendra Prasad Rijal, Manish Khetan, Sunil Agrawal and Bibek Agrawal, alongside institutional investors Star Investment Fund, Top Fund and Harvest Ventures.
