Govt Collects Rs. 183.20 Billion Revenue in First Two Months of FY 2083/84, Achieves 11.59% of Annual Target

The Government of Nepal has collected Rs. 172.42 billion in tax revenue as of September 16, 2026, equivalent to 12.29% of the annual target of Rs. 1.40 trillion, according to the Financial Comptroller General Office. In total 11.59% of the total targeted revenue have been achieved amounting 183.20 billion of the fiscal year targeted 1.58 trillion.
Meanwhile, the government has received Rs. 5.53 billion in grants, achieving 8.96% of the annual target of Rs. 61.75 billion.
Total expenditure reaches 199 billion equivalent to 9.41% of the targeted expenditure, the total targeted expenditure for the fiscal year 2083/84 was 2.12 Trillion. Capital expenditure has reached Rs. 7.66 billion, or just 1.78% of the allocated Rs. 431.11 billion.
On the financing side, the government has mobilized Rs. 70.14 billion, representing 16.59% of the annual target of Rs. 422.65 billion.
