Government Declares Public Holiday for Nepali Muslims on Mohammad Jayanti
The Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday for the Nepali Muslim community on Wednesday (Bhadra 10, 2083) on the occasion of Mohammad Jayanti.
The Ministry of Home Affairs shared this information through an official notice issued on Tuesday. According to the ministry, the decision aligns with the government notice published in the Nepal Rajpatra on Falgun 18, 2082 B.S., which provisions a public holiday for the Muslim community on this festival.
The ministry stated that it made the decision after receiving confirmation from the Muslim Commission that Mohammad Jayanti falls on Wednesday. Additionally, the Ministry of Home Affairs extended its warm wishes to the entire Muslim community on this special occasion.
