Government committed to check black marketing, smuggling: Home Minister

Tilottama (Rupandehi), Dec 6: Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet has said government was committed to curbing black marketing and smuggling.

Government will launch a special security initiative in the border areas to check growing smuggling and black marketing in view of the blockade and Tarai agitation. Talking to media persons after holding a meeting with the CDOs from six districts of Lumbini zone on Sunday, Home Minister Basnet however said the country had not witnessed disarray yet. “The country is facing difficult time due to Madhes agitation and blockade. But it can’t be termed as disarray,” he underscored. He hoped that the problems in Tarai problems would fizzle out soon. The Home Minister further argued that government was not a failure in terms of diplomatic efforts. CDO from Rupandehi Bishnu Prasad Dhakal said the meeting was attended by eight CDOs and chiefs of the investigation. RSS
