Gold Price Soars in Nepal Amid Global Surge; Silver Also Edges Up

The price of gold has been continuously rising in the international market since last Tuesday, and the effects are being felt in Nepal’s local market. Compared to Thursday, the price of fine gold increased by Rs. 4,200 per tola today, while silver saw a moderate rise of Rs. 15 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA).
With today’s hike, the price of one tola of fine gold has reached Rs. 197,100, whereas silver is being traded at Rs. 2,165 per tola.
Last Tuesday, the price of gold stood at Rs. 190,000 per tola, with silver trading at Rs. 2,150 per tola, highlighting a sharp weekly rise, especially in the gold segment.
Meanwhile, in the international market, the price of gold has climbed to USD 3,427 per ounce, as reported by global financial media outlets.
