Gold Price Continues to Surge in International Market, Silver Dips Slightly in Local Market

The price of gold has been on a continuous rise in the international market since last Tuesday, influencing the local market in Nepal as well. Compared to Wednesday, the price of fine gold in the local market today increased by Rs. 1,600 per tola, while the price of silver saw a decline of Rs. 15 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has reached Rs. 192,900 per tola today. Meanwhile, silver is being traded at Rs. 2,150 per tola.
Last Tuesday, fine gold was traded at Rs. 190,000 per tola, and silver at Rs. 2,165 per tola in the local market.
International media reports that gold is being traded at USD 3,388 per ounce in the global market today.
