Gold prices rebounded sharply in the domestic market, rising by Rs. 14,600 per tola to reach Rs. 288,500, a significant jump from the previous day’s Rs. 273,900. The surge reflects renewed investor demand for safe haven assets amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have increased uncertainty in global financial markets.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), Tejabi gold also moved higher, climbing to Rs. 287,800 per tola from Rs. 273,200.
Meanwhile, silver prices followed a similar upward trend, gaining Rs. 415 per tola to stand at Rs. 4,920. The rise in precious metals highlights a shift in investor sentiment toward safer assets as geopolitical risks intensify.
