Gold seemed to be on a falling downtrend for the past few days, both in the international and the local Nepalese market.

However, the yellow metal has gained Rs. 800 per tola today, hence defying the losing streak.

Fine gold is trading at Rs. 97,600 per tola while tejabi gold is trading at Rs. 97,100 per tola. Both types were trading at Rs. 96,800 and Rs. 96,300 per tola respectively yesterday.

Meanwhile, silver has also gained Rs. 35 per tola today and is trading at Rs. 1,345 per tola in the Nepalese market today.

However, because of the ongoing lockdown in numerous districts in Nepal, almost non-existent transactions are seen on a daily basis.
