Gold and Silver Prices Rise in Domestic Market Following International Surge

The rise in gold and silver prices in the international market has directly impacted the local market in Nepal. Compared to Tuesday, the price of fine gold has increased by NPR 500 per tola, while silver has gone up by NPR 30 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of one tola of fine gold today stands at NPR 193,200. Similarly, the price of one tola of silver has been fixed at NPR 2,075.
International media reports that the price of gold in the global market has reached USD 3,379 per ounce today, contributing to the upward trend seen in the local market.
