Global IME Bank Spearheads Nationwide Financial Literacy Initiative

Global IME Bank Limited has conducted a financial literacy program through its 169 branch offices across seven provinces as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The program targeted over 20,000 individuals, including farmers, micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, laborers, potential foreign workers, students, women, remittance recipients, and residents.

Attendance varied by region, with thousands participating across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sadar Paschim provinces.

The bank plans to continue these efforts by conducting financial literacy and digital banking promotion programs through its 354 branches in 77 districts in the upcoming fiscal year.

The program covers various financial topics such as savings, credit, remittances, digital banking, insurance, investment, and awareness on financial fraud and mismanagement.

Global IME Bank is the first commercial bank in the private sector with an extensive branch network that serves over 4.6 million customers and plays a significant role in the country's economy by handling remittances from multiple countries.
