Global IME Bank Limited has introduced a special “Paddy Farming Loan” on the occasion of National Paddy Day. This loan scheme supports the government’s strategy outlined in the Fiscal Year 2082/83 budget to make Nepal self-reliant in paddy production within the next two years. Under this program, farmers can avail loans up to Rs. 20 lakh to purchase paddy seeds, chemical and organic fertilizers, agricultural tools, and other necessary farming materials.

To promote effective land use and enhance farmers’ income by encouraging paddy cultivation as a dignified and professional agricultural occupation, the bank launched this loan facility. In addition, Global IME Bank organized a paddy plantation event near Radha Krishna Temple in Ward No. 1, Tokha Municipality, with the participation of bank staff and local residents. The bank’s CEO, Surendra Raj Regmi, along with employees and locals, took part in the event.

Speaking at the program, CEO Regmi emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting the government’s policy to increase paddy production through agricultural modernization and commercialization, thereby boosting farmers’ morale. He expressed confidence that the newly launched paddy farming loan would encourage farmers and contribute to increasing paddy output. Global IME Bank continues to introduce timely loan products to benefit its customers and provide excellent services through its extensive network, including 352 branches, 385 ATMs, and over 1,000 service centers across Nepal. The bank is also recognized internationally, having received the Global Finance Best Bank Award 2024 and Euro Money Award for Excellence 2024, and provides remittance services from multiple countries worldwide.
