Four Key Decisions Passed by Cabinet, Including Acceptance of Probe Report on Former Home Minister Sudhan Gurung

The Council of Ministers meeting held on Today passed four major executive decisions. Minister for Education, Science, and Technology and government spokesperson, Sasmit Pokharel, officially made the decisions public today.

The key decisions taken by the Cabinet are as follows:

Approval for Hydropower Projects in National Forest Areas: The government has granted official permission to utilize sections of national forest land for the construction and development of four major hydropower projects: Lower Arun, Lower Nyadi Khola, Ghunsa Khola, and Tadi Khola.

Endorsement of Civil Service Regulations: The Cabinet has formally approved the Civil Service (16th Amendment) Regulations, 2083.

Forming of Nepal Red Cross Society Ad-hoc Committee: A new ad-hoc committee for the Nepal Red Cross Society has been constituted under the chairmanship of Bishal Kumar Bhandari (from Dolakha).

Receipt of Investigation Report on Former Home Minister: The Cabinet has officially accepted and received the report submitted by the probe committee formed to study and investigate matters concerning Member of Parliament and former Home Minister, Sudhan Gurung.
