Foreign Minister Khanal Visits Chinese Academy of Sciences, Bilateral Talks with Wang Yi Today

Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal, who is on a four day official visit to China, visited the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research under the Chinese Academy of Sciences on Monday morning. According to the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, Minister Khanal highlighted the importance of strengthening and expanding cooperation between Nepal and China during his visit to the research institute.

Later today, he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing at 5:45 pm local time. Minister Khanal had departed for Beijing on Sunday at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart and is expected to return to Nepal on June 17 after completing his official visit.
