Fire breaks out in Victory Lounge Bar, Durbarmarg; fire was caused by a short-circuit

A fire broke out in a bar named Victory Lounge Bar on the sixth floor of a building at Durbarmarg on Sunday evening. However, separate teams of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and the disaster management team of Armed Police Force doused the fire after more than two hours. The fire was caused by a short-circuit, said Chief of the Metropolitan Police Range, Teku, Uttam Raj Subedi.

Eleven fire engines from the Kathmandu Valley and many drinking water tankers were used to put out the blaze. A firefighter was injured during the fire extinguishing. Loss details caused by the fire are awaited, said the police. The blaze took place at around 6:15pm.
