Finance Minister Wagle Assures Full Support for Flood Hit Areas

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle inspected flood-affected areas of Nuwakot on Saturday and assured that the government would provide sufficient resources for rescue, relief, treatment and rehabilitation.

Wagle inspected the Nepali Army’s rescue command post in Bidur and was briefed on ongoing operations, including efforts to rescue people believed to be trapped inside hydropower project tunnels. He also visited damaged areas, including Dhuṅge Bazaar, Devighat and a damaged bridge along the Galchhi–Rasuwagadhi road.

He met affected families and rescued residents and assured them that the government would continue support for relief, treatment and rehabilitation.
