Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle to Present Annual Economic Survey in Parliament Today
Both houses of Nepal's Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today, with a key focus on the country's economic status. The House of Representatives will begin its session at 11:00 AM, while the National Assembly is set to meet later in the afternoon at 1:15 PM.
During these meetings, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will officially present the government's Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2025/26 to both houses. This comprehensive report will outline the country's financial health, overall production, and economic progress over the past year.
In addition to the economic report, Dr. Wagle has a busy legislative agenda for the day. In the National Assembly, he is scheduled to introduce a proposal to open discussions on the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill 2082, which was recently sent over with a message from the House of Representatives.
Alongside the Finance Minister's economic presentations, the parliament will also handle other government business. This includes tabling a new cultural heritage protection bill and starting discussions on a new film-related bill presented by the Minister for Information and Communication.
