Federal Parliament’s Budget Session Commences Today
The budget session of the Federal Parliament is set to begin today with a joint meeting of both houses scheduled for 4:00 pm, according to a notice issued by Federal Parliament General Secretary Padam Prasad Pandey.
As per the agenda published by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, President Ramchandra Paudel will present the government’s policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year during the joint session.
Lawmakers have been requested to take their seats at the House of Representatives Chamber (Multipurpose Hall) at Singha Durbar before 3:45 pm for the commencement of the joint meeting.
Before the joint session, separate meetings of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm.
The agenda also includes the presentation of several ordinances recently issued by the government through the President for parliamentary endorsement.
