Esewa Money Transfer (EMT), a leading digital remittance company in Nepal, has partnered with global digital payments company Visa to facilitate cross-border remittance transfers to Nepal through Visa Direct.

The collaboration is intended to offer Nepalese living and working abroad a more convenient way to send money home, while giving their families in Nepal access to remittance funds through supported receiving channels. Depending on the participating partner and transaction route, eligible transfers can be directed to supported bank accounts and eSewa Wallets.

The partnership aims to make it easier for Nepalis living and working abroad to send money home, while giving recipients more options to access their funds.

Ajesh Koirala, CEO of eSewa Money Transfer, said the collaboration would strengthen the company’s international payment connections and expand the ways remittances can reach recipients in Nepal.

Licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank in 2019, Esewa Money Transfer is a subsidiary of F1Soft Group and provides digital remittance services through a network of international partners. The company enables remittance transfers directly to bank accounts, eSewa wallets, and cash payout locations across Nepal.
