Election Related Two Bills Tabled in HoR to Replace Ordinances

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, tabled two bills in the House of Representatives aimed at replacing ordinances issued for the March 5 election process. In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, she presented the ‘House of Representatives Members Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’ and the ‘Voter Name List (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’. The proposal seeking permission to introduce the bills was approved by a majority.

The next meeting of the House has been scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday.
