EBL rolls out chip-based Visa credit card

verest Bank Ltd (EBL) has launched chip-based EMV Standard Credit Card in association with Visa. Issuing a statement, the bank said that the its Chairman BK Shrestha and Ram S Sangapure, executive director of Punjab National Bank, India, jointly unveiled this new service amid a function held on Sunday. According to the statement, the newly introduced EBL Chip-based Credit Card offers a credit period of 45 days and is accepted in India and Nepal. As per Nepal Rastra Bank' guideline, the bank is also providing VISA Debit card in Chip-based EMV Standard, the statement added. Source: republica
