Due to massive earthquake, Sagarmatha Ins net profit dwindles in Q4, earned profit Rs 11 crore, EPS Rs 30.88

Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC) has posted a net profit of Rs 11 crorein the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year.


As per the unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter published today, its net profit lowered to Rs 11 crore from Rs 20.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the fiscal year 2070/71.The company’s net earnings from premiums grew to Rs 50.70 crore in Q4 from Rs 46.80 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The non- Life Insurance Company has a paid up capital of Rs 35 crore 65 lakh with reserve fund Rs 22 crore 96 lakh .

In the FY 2071/72, the company had distributed 15% bonus share to its shareholders from the net profit it earned in the previous fiscal year 2070/71.

Policyholders of SIC increased to 7.60 crore at the end of this quarter from 4.67 crore as in the same period of the previous year.

Sagarmatha Insurance EPS stand at Rs 30.88, P/E ratio is at 24.31 times and net worth per share at Rs 241.08.
