Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha Named Acting Executive Director of NEA

Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha has been appointed as the Acting Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha on Wednesday entrusted Shrestha, who had been serving as the Deputy Executive Director of the Authority, with the responsibility of leading the NEA in an acting capacity.
According to the minister’s secretariat, the appointment comes after former Executive Director Hitendra Dev Shakya was removed from the position through an ordinance introduced by the government.
