Diplomatic dialogue with India: FM Poudel

Minister for Finance, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, has said that border blockade problem would be resolved soon as dialogue with Madhes-centric parties was underway in this regard. In course of inspecting Siddhababa area along Butwal-Tansen road section, Minister Poudel said that diplomatic discussion was underway with India to end the problems facing the country due to unannounced border blockade by India. On the occasion, Minister for Industry, Som Prasad Pandey, said that the government has forwarded extensive study to construct tunnel at Siddhababa area for the sustainable solution, saying some 1,000 people have lost their lives due to the landslides and road accident at the area for the past few years. Minister Pandey said that a company of Austria has forwarded netting technology at the area for the short-term resolution. This year, the government has already mentioned about the construction of tunnel at Siddhababa area in its policy and programme. RSS
