Despite opening 42 points higher, NEPSE ultimately loses 10.45 points; Turnover at Rs. 2.78 Arba while only two sectors gain

NEPSE showed a 10.45 points (0.69%) decline today and ultimately closed at 1,499.97.

Overall 57.44 points volatility was observed during the trading session today, with the highest point being the market-open itself and the lowest being 1,494.99.

NEPSE had gained a massive 42 points today on pre-armet hours and had opened at such a high level. However, the market declined during trading hours and ultimately closed lower than the close of the last trading day on Thursday.

7,038,990 shares traded hands to produce a total turnover of Rs. 2.78 Arba. 191 scrips were traded via 34,863 transactions.

The float index lost 0.66 points to close at 104.05 while the Sensitive index is at 302.19 after losing 2.54 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited has the highest turnover of 40.13 crores. Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) has the most shares traded for today.

Five companies hit a 10% positive circuit today. They are: Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC), Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI), Radhi Bidyut Company Limited (RADHI), and Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL).

In contrast, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) lost the most 9.87%.

Only two sectors gained today while all others ended red. Trading gained the most 2.51% while Hotels lost the most 1.66%.
