CPN Appoints Padma Aryal as Deputy Leader of UML Parliamentary Party

The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has appointed party secretary and former minister Padma Aryal as the Deputy Leader of its parliamentary party.

According to Chief Whip Ain Mahar, the decision was made on the recommendation of UML parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal), who nominated Aryal for the position. Aryal, who currently serves as a UML secretary, is also a member of the House of Representatives elected under the proportional representation system.

Earlier, the party had already appointed Ain Mahar as Chief Whip and Nita Ghatani as Whip of the parliamentary party.
