Citizens Investment Trust Concludes It's 31st AGM; Endorses 13% Dividend

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) successfully held it's 31st Annual General Meeting under the chairmanship of Mr. Tulsi Prasad Ghimire. The meeting approved a total dividend of 13% for fiscal year 2081/82, comprising 5% bonus shares and 8% cash dividend to shareholders from the profit of previous fiscal year.
The AGM also endorsed the Board of Director's report for FY 2081/82 and approved the audited financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement as of end of Ashad, 2082.
Additionally, Chairman Ghimire highlighted plans to expand the Citizen Pension Scheme to include self-employed individuals and Nepalese working abroad, along with broadening the trust’s savings mobilization base. He also emphasized increasing investments in government-priority projects, expanding participant loans, providing margin loans and investing in suitable infrastructure projects based on risk analysis.
As per the AGM disclosures, CIT’s net fund balance reached Rs. 2.96 Kharba by the end of Ashwin 2082. Additionally, Mr. Narayan Prasad Ghimire was elected to the Board of Directors representing public shareholders.
