Citizens Bank Holds Growth Strategy Seminar in Madhesh Province
Citizens Bank International has organized a seminar in Madhesh Province to review its business performance and discuss growth priorities for the current fiscal year.
The event, titled “Driving High-Volume Growth, Quality Credit, and Market Leadership 2083/84,” brought together the bank’s provincial head, branch managers and other employees. CEO Ganesh Raj Pokharel and senior executives also attended the event.
The seminar focused on the bank’s performance in FY 2082/83, along with its budget, strategic plans and priorities for FY 2083/84. Discussions also centered on strengthening coordination between the bank’s central office and provincial teams.

Citizens Bank currently operates 29 branches across all eight districts of Madhesh Province. Similar strategy-focused programs have already been held in Bagmati and Koshi provinces, with programs planned for other provinces as well.
In FY 2082/83, the bank’s loan portfolio grew 1.24% to Rs. 177.33 billion, while deposits increased 9.22% to Rs. 233.81 billion. Its net profit rose 63.05% to Rs. 2.10 billion.
The bank has also introduced several digital and retail banking products, including the Citizens Fonepay Credit Card, Citizens Gen-Z Savings Account, Citizens Digi Bank platform and Freelancer Savings Account. It also offers share application and CRN services through its mobile banking app and a cross-bank teller service that allows customers of other banks to withdraw cash from Citizens Bank branches using QR codes.
