Citizens Bank Gives Rs. 2.22 Crore to PM's Disaster Relief Fund

Citizens Bank International Limited has contributed Rs. 2,22,22,222 to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, treatment and relief for those affected by the Bhotekoshi flood in Bagmati Province on Bhadra 10.

Bank Chairman Prabal Jung Pandey handed over the amount to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle at a ceremony at the Finance Ministry, Singha Durbar, attended by board member Digvijay Bista and CEO Ganeshraj Pokharel. The bank offered condolences to families who lost members and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The bank's Devighat branch was completely damaged in the flooding. It has separately sent relief supplies rice, lentils, flour, biscuits, oil, salt, soybeans, potatoes and noodles to Bidur Municipality-5 in Nuwakot.

Citizens Bank, named Bank of the Year in 2024 and 2025, earlier partnered with Fonepay to launch Nepal's first virtual credit card, the Citizens Fonepay Credit Card.
