Citizens Bank Conducts Nationwide Tree Plantation Drive on World Environment Day 2026

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Citizens Bank International Limited organized a large-scale tree plantation program under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, focusing on climate action and environmental conservation. The main event was held at Chaukidanda Tourist Park in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, where around 250 saplings were planted, while a total of 1,500 trees were planted across all provinces of Nepal. The program was attended by CEO Ganesh Raj Pokharel, local representatives, and bank staff, highlighting the importance of environmental protection for future generations.

The bank reaffirmed its commitment to CSR alongside its financial services, emphasizing ongoing efforts in community development, health camps, and educational support. It also highlighted its recent innovations in digital banking, including virtual credit cards, youth-focused savings accounts, freelancer services, and mobile-based banking facilities. With a strong nationwide presence, Citizens Bank continues to expand modern banking services while contributing to sustainable development and environmental initiatives.
