Cimex Launches BYD SEALION 7 in Nepal: Premium Electric SUV Ushers in New Era of Sustainable Mobility

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has officially launched the highly anticipated BYD SEALION 7, marking a significant addition to Nepal’s premium electric SUV segment. The unveiling event took place on July 24, 2025, and was attended by Chinese Ambassador Chen Song, who emphasized the growing China-Nepal collaboration in sustainable mobility.

The BYD SEALION 7, a rear-wheel-drive SUV with a 100 kW motor, features a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, 440 km range (WLTP), and breakthrough EV technology built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 with Cell-to-Body (CTB) integration. Its 23,000 rpm motor, the world’s fastest among mass-produced EVs, delivers robust performance with 380 Nm torque.

Stylistically influenced by ocean themes, the SUV showcases an athletic profile, BYD’s signature ‘X Face’ front fascia, U-shaped LED headlamps, and a fastback coupe silhouette. Designed by Wolfgang Egger, it combines style with advanced engineering, like Double Wishbone & Multi-Link suspension with FSD dampers for dynamic handling on Nepal’s diverse terrains.

Inside, the SEALION 7 offers a tech-savvy cabin with a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and intelligent voice-assisted climate control.

Priced at NRs. 74.99 lakhs, with an introductory early bird price of NRs. 72.99 lakhs, early buyers also receive an extended warranty package:

ii. Motor: 10 years / 187,500 KM
iii. Whole Vehicle: 7 years / 150,000 KM
