Chaudhary Foundation to Help Reopen Flood-Hit Nuwakot School

Chaudhary Foundation has decided to support the immediate reopening of Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Nuwakot, among the areas worst hit by the Rasuwa floods.

The foundation will set up digital classrooms at the school, providing smart boards, desktops, laptops, projectors and internet connections, along with furniture, school bags and stationery for students.

The support aims to help affected students return to school, easing the psychological impact of the floods and allowing their studies to continue.

School principal Rajendra Dawadi said arrangements are underway for an alternative building from which classes will resume, with Chaudhary Foundation's support kicking in as soon as it is ready. The school had around 1,600 students before the Bhadra 10 floods destroyed it.

Chaudhary Group chairman Binod Chaudhary and Principal Dawadi had held detailed discussions on Bhadra 15 on reopening the school, following which the foundation moved to arrange the support.
