CAN SoftTech postponed until further notice

KATHMANDU, Aug 28:

Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) Federation has postponed 8th CAN SoftTech 2015 until further notice, citing current political situation.

The event was scheduled to be held at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu from September 3.

Issuing a press statement on Friday, CAN Federation said it was sad to postpone the event as all the stalls of the event had already been booked. 'Converging to e-Life' was the slogan of the event.

CAN SofTech is an annual exhibition where different domestic and international software solution and technology companies showcase their products and services.

Companies dealing on computer education, banking, information management, accounts management, antivirus and computer security, security solution, wireless solution, printing solution, and various other applications for different computing devices and smartphones, had already booked their stalls, according to the statement.

Various IT companies, business process outsourcing (BPO) firms, software developers, ISPs and telecom companies, among others, had also confirmed their participation in the event, according to CAN Federation.
