BYD Produces 14 Millionth New Energy Vehicle, Sets Global Milestone

On October 9, BYD celebrated the production of its 14 millionth new energy vehicle at its passenger car plant in Camaçari, Brazil, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion.

The ceremony was attended by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Chinese Ambassador Zhu Qingqiao, Bahia Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues, BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu, and other officials and employees.

With this achievement, BYD becomes the world’s first new energy vehicle manufacturer to reach 14 million units. The milestone vehicle, a BYD Song Pro, was presented to President Lula as a gift.
