BYD Breaks into Fortune Global 100 with Record Growth and Global Expansion

BYD has entered the top 100 of the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list, ranking 91st, a major leap from its 143rd position in 2024. This marks BYD's fourth consecutive year on the list, driven by a 29% increase in annual revenue (RMB 777.1 billion/USD 107.1 billion) and record-breaking new energy vehicle (NEV) sales of 4.27 million units. The company maintained its global leadership in NEV sales for the third year in a row.

With a strong focus on innovation, BYD invested RMB 54.2 billion (USD 7.47 billion) in R&D in 2024, surpassing its net profit, and launched key technologies like the Blade Battery and Megawatt Flash Charging. In 2025, BYD boosted global expansion, selling over 470,000 vehicles overseas and establishing major international hubs, including a European HQ in Hungary and a manufacturing facility in Brazil. Now present in 112 countries, BYD continues its mission to drive sustainable development and “Cool the Earth by 1°C”.
