Butwal Power Company Group Contributes Rs 51.42 Lakhs to Bhote Koshi Flood Relief Fund
Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL), its group companies and employees have contributed Rs 51.41 lakhs to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support people affected by the devastating Bhote Koshi floods in Rasuwa. The cheque was handed over to Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha through the Independent Power Producers Association Nepal (IPPAN), in support of the government’s ongoing search, rescue and relief efforts.

Of the total contribution, BPCL and its employees contributed Rs 33.36 lakhs, including Rs 22 lakhs from the company and Rs 11.36 lakhs from management and employees. Other contributions included Nyadi Hydropower Rs 5.5 lakhs, Himal Power Rs 5 lakhs, Hydro Consult Engineering Rs 5.05 lakhs and Khudi Hydropower Rs 2.5 lakhs. The company also expressed condolences to those who lost their lives in the floods and wished for the safe recovery and contact of those still missing.
