Butwal Power Company (BPCL) Brings Onboard Three Chinese Investment Partners for 135MW Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project

Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) has brought onboard three Chinese investment companies to develop and operate the 135MW Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project.

BPCL had to give equity shares to the companies in exchange for partnership.

135MW Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project is a project under construction by Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Company. BPCL has sole ownership of Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Company.

The partnership structure in the project is as follows:

BPCL 22.4%
SCIG International Limited 49.47%
XingCheng International Investment Company 16.49%
QYEC International 11.64%

The Electricity Sales Agreement for the hydroelectric project has already been signed on Chaitra 09, 2077. The companies expect electricity generation to commence by 2025 March.
