Budget for Fiscal Year 2082/83 to Be Unveiled Today; Estimated at Around Rs. 19 Kharba

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is set to unveil the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 during a joint session of the Federal Parliament today. The session is scheduled to begin at 3 PM.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the budget presentation is included in the official agenda of today’s joint meeting. Lawmakers from both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly have been requested to arrive at least 15 minutes before the session begins.

This year’s budget is expected to be around Rs. 19 kharba. Key focus areas are likely to include economic growth, infrastructure development, job creation, and measures to improve capital expenditure.

Before the joint session, the House of Representatives will meet at 1:30 PM, where Finance Minister Paudel will present the Economic Survey reviewing the country’s economic performance over the current fiscal year.
