BIS Program 2026 Concludes in Kathmandu, Boosting Nepal’s Startup Ecosystem

The Business Incubation Service (BIS) Program 2026, organized by ICT Foundation Nepal, successfully concluded in Kathmandu at Anupam Foodland and Banquet, Battisputali. The program aimed to strengthen Nepal’s startup ecosystem by enhancing entrepreneurial skills, promoting innovation, offering mentorship, and building strong networking opportunities.

Startup teams from Koshi and Bagmati Provinces presented innovative ideas, technology-driven solutions, and business models. Throughout the program, participants received guidance from experienced mentors and industry experts, helping them refine their ideas and connect with market opportunities.

Key speakers, including representatives from the National Planning Commission and ICT sector experts, emphasized the importance of continuous learning, customer-focused business models, innovation, and long-term entrepreneurial vision. They also highlighted challenges such as access to resources and investment despite Nepal’s relatively easy business registration process.

The program featured strong mentorship support and expert evaluation, including contributions from professionals associated with Leapfrog Technology Inc and Plan International Nepal.

In the final results, Safari Yatri won from Koshi Province and Samparka Digital Loyalty won from Bagmati Province, with each receiving NPR 100,000 and certificates.

Overall, the BIS Program 2026 was praised for fostering collaboration between entrepreneurs, mentors, government representatives, and industry leaders, further strengthening Nepal’s growing innovation and startup landscape.
