Baglung to get 36 small irrigation projects

Baglung district is to get 36 new small irrigation projects this year. The District Agriculture Development Office is going to construct 36 small irrigation projects targeting the areas without irrigation facility. Officer at the DADO Biplav Prasad Adhikari said that the irrigation projects would be constructed with 80 per cent investment of the Office and remaining 20 per cent of the local farmers. The Office had received 84 applications for such projects and of them 36 farmer groups and cooperatives were selected. Some 5,000 hectares of agriculture land is expected to get irrigated from the small irrigation projects. RSS
