Auditor General Submits Annual Report of F.Y. 2081/82 to President Paudel

The annual report of the Office of the Auditor General for the fiscal year 2081/82 has been submitted to President Ramchandra Paudel. Auditor General Toyam Raya handed over the report during a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday.

During the event, President Paudel expressed concern over the rising amount of unsettled government dues and urged public bodies to work with greater accountability, transparency and financial discipline. He also stressed the need to reduce unnecessary spending and said maintaining economic discipline is important for good governance, development and prosperity. The President expressed confidence that the report would encourage government bodies and officials to become more responsible in handling public funds.
