Api power promoted 8.5 MW Naugadh Hydropower project in transmission line, no load shedding in Far Western Dev Region

Naugadh Hydropower Project constructed under API Power Company has finally brought the total electricity produced into national transmission line. 8.5 MW Naugadh river hydro power project is situated at Dethala VDC of Far Western Development Region.

The company initiated its production from Bhadra 2, 2072.The generated electricity has been connected to Balaanch Substation transmission line of 33KV bus bar. Baitadi, Dadheldhura, Budar and Attariya are the substations. As per the press release, districts in Far Western Development Region will now face no problem of load shedding. The entire project was accomplished in 17 months duration.

API Power Company has commenced necessary procedures for construction of 8 MW Upper Naugadh project and 40 MW Upper Chameliya Project .The electricity generated from this project was to be connected to 131 KM long AtariaBalanch transmission line of 132 KV but the transmission line has not been able to start its operation yet. For the time being, the generated electricity will be transmitted through NTA 33 KV transmission line. The company has succeeded in the transmission of the overall generated electricity through 33KV transmission line.

The press release reads that electricity generated through the Naugadh project will help in development of Far Western Development Region.
