After 18 Days, Two-Way Traffic Resumes at Dhading’s Krishnabhir

The Prithvi Highway has fully resumed two way traffic after a new track was built at the Krishnabhir section in Dhading, where the road had sunk and disrupted road connectivity with Kathmandu.

According to the District Administration Office, Dhading, vehicles have been operating in both directions from 6:00 AM today.

The road section was completely closed after the sudden and destructive floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10 caused the road at Krishnabhir to sink. The Road Division Office opened a new track at the affected section to restore traffic.

Although the highway has reopened, the administration has warned that risks such as road sinking, landslides, and falling rocks and soil remain at several locations. Drivers and passengers have been advised to remain cautious, particularly during rainfall, avoid traveling if they encounter dangerous road conditions, follow instructions from security personnel and road workers, and make travel plans based only on official information.
