'Action would be taken against unlawful co-ops'

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Cooperatives, Chitra Bahadur KC, has warned of stern action against those cooperatives operating illegally. Addressing an interaction programme organised by different cooperatives in Butwal today, he said the cooperatives movement could not move ahead oblivious of the norms and values of cooperatives. Joint Secretary Indra Dhungana presented a working paper on the new Cooperatives Act which was discussed on the occasion. Meanwhile, DPM KC also today inaugurated central secretariat of the Lumbini E-Rickshaw Transport Entrepreneurs Committee. RSS
