90 percent of stalls booked
KATHMANDU, Aug 21:
More than 90 percent of stalls of Subisu CAN SofTech 2015, which begins in Kathmandu on September 3, have been booked, according to Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) Federation.
The four-day event is being organized by CAN Federation.
The event aims to bring local and international firms under a single roof for business promotion, product exhibition, and knowledge transfer so that visitors can get all information related to software and technology, according to the federation.
Bishwo Ram Balami, general secretary of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) Federation, said the event will have 142 stalls of which 90 percent have been booked so far. "The major attractions of CAN SofTech 2015 will be cloud-based access control system for door opening and closing, data security systems, and stalls of companies providing cyber security solutions, among others," he said, adding that the software companies will showcase latest version of various software solutions.
The other stalls will offer services like computer education, banking, information management, and accounts management, antivirus and computer security. Companies participating in the SofTech also offer security solution, wireless solution, printing solution, and various applications for different computing devices and smartphones. Similarly, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are launching various new packages at the expo.
Around 75 companies IT companies including business process outsourcing (BPO) firms, knowledge process outsourcing firms (KPOs) software developers, ISPs and telecom companies, software as a service (SaaS) and software education providers, among others, are taking part in the event.
Rom Kanta Pandey, coordinator of the expo, said the event aims to promote Nepali software industry. "Both the software developing companies and software developers in recent years," Pandey said, adding that the expo will be a platform to know about latest innovations in the sector.
Subisu Cable Net is the title sponsor of CAN SofTech 2015, and CAN InfoTech and CAN ICT Conference scheduled for next year, while Access World, a cloud solution provider, is the associate sponsor.
