83 petroleum product-filled vehicles escorted to capital

KATHMANDU, Sept 6:

A total of 83 vehicles carrying fuel were escorted to Kathmandu on Saturday night and Sunday morning amid the indefinite banda called by the United Madhesi Front in the Tarai, police said.

Police said that 11 petrol-filled trucks were guided to Kathmandu on the days under tight security, 46 LPG cylinder gas-filled truck, 12 diesel-filled truck, two kerosene-filled trucks and 12 aviation fuel-filled trucks.

Likewise, a total of 159 vehicles heading towards the Eastern and Western districts, which were stranded midway due to the agitation, were sent to their respective destination under tight security on Saturday night and Sunday morning, police said. RSS
