Golbazar (Siraha), Dec 19: Police in Siraha seized 75 cylinders of cooking gas or liquefied petroleum gas from a truck that met with an accident in Bandipur along the East-West Highway this morning.

The filled cylinders were reportedly being transported to the capital for the purpose of black marketeering. The truck (Na 2 Kha 6931) bound for Kathmandu from Biratnagar was found to be carrying the LPG cylinders after it overturned. Confiscated cylinders of Manoj brand name based in Bighunj might have been refilled in India and being taken to the capital to sell at higher price, District Police Office Siraha's Superintendent of Police Shyam Gywali said. Black marketeering of LPG including fuel is rife in the country due to the prolonged obstructions on the Nepal-India border and ongoing Madhes agitation. RSS
