120 petro products-laden trucks stranded

As India continues unofficial blockade to Nepal, some 120 tankers carrying petroleum products to Nepal have stranded at Jogbani of India after the Indian officials refused for customs clearance in the entry points. Assistant Manager at the Regional Office of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Basudev Bhandari said that the tankers carrying 1.46 million litres of diesel and 584,000 litres of petrol from Barauni of India have been blocked due to dillydallying of the Indian customs officials. The Office said that there has been problem in the stock of the petroleum products in absence of effective provision in the NOC Regional Office. Likewise, the Biratnagar Customs Office said that as high as 2,000 trucks and other vehicles carrying goods have been stranded in Jogbadi. RSS
