Market rebound after touching mid 1480s level; Turnover slightly increased to 63.69 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 9 points or 0.60% to close at 1493.20 points today. Today, NEPSE Index opened 1502.20 points and the local bourse has gone down to 1484.05 level in the first trading hour then the index climbed up to 1509.05 till the second trading hour of the day afterward index was seen declining. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 63.69 crore in which more than 14.97 lakh units shares were traded 6,363 transactions. indexNepal Investment Bank Limited (NIB) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.31 crore) while Janata Bank Nepal limited (JBNL) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (97,328 units). The best performer for the day was Everest Bank Limited Convertible Preference Share (EBLCP) whereas Laxmi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (LLBS) was the biggest loser today. Sensitive and float index declined by 2.04 and 0.69 points respectively. Hotels, Hydropower, Finance and Insurance sub-groups landed in green while Banking, Development banks, Manufacturing & Production and Others sub-groups ended in red zone today.
